Perth group transport across two airport precincts and the coast

Perth has short distances and no toll roads, but a split airport and strict city kerbs. Two things undo a pickup here: the wrong terminal, or a stop where buses are not allowed.

Two terminal precincts

Perth Airport's T1/T2 and T3/T4 are separate precincts about ten minutes' drive apart, linked by a free transfer bus. Town Hall is about 17 km from T1 and 13 km from T3, roughly 20 minutes in light traffic. Buses and coaches load at the T1 Coach Bays or the T3 Coach Bays, where each size of bus has its own zone: large coaches, medium buses, minibuses. No coach holding area is published, though time extensions can be given while a bus is actively loading people and luggage.

Check every airline's terminal before the manifest goes out. A crew on one carrier and delegates on another can land in different precincts in the same hour, and the quote should then show two pickups. Chauffeured cars for executives use separate designated areas under their own access card.

City kerbs and Fremantle bays

In the City of Perth, loading zones are for commercial goods vehicles only: a bus may not stop in one even to let passengers off. Agree a legal set-down with each hotel and venue in the CBD, Northbridge and East Perth before the day. PCEC sits on Mounts Bay Road beside Elizabeth Quay, and Optus Stadium is across the river at Burswood.

Fremantle is easier. The city maps its tour coach bays, some time-limited and some not, and Fremantle Prison has two bays outside the gate and two more on Parry Street.

Rottnest and the long days

Rottnest Island is car-free, so the road leg stops at the ferry terminal. The crossing is about 25 minutes from Fremantle, 45 from Hillarys and 90 from Barrack Street Jetty; time the return collection to the ferry, not the program. Nambung National Park, home of the Pinnacles, is about 2.5 hours north, and WA park entry applies. Margaret River is about 3 hours south and Wave Rock about 4 hours east. Western Australia runs its own fatigue scheme for heavy vehicles, and long days are planned to it.

Questions

Do Perth transfers carry toll charges?

No. Western Australia has no toll roads.

How far is the Swan Valley from the city?

About 25 km, roughly 30 minutes, so a tasting afternoon fits after a morning session.

What should we send for a group landing on several flights?

Each flight number and airline, its terminal precinct, head and bag counts, and the destination hotel. The quote then lists every pickup and the vehicle for each.
