Adelaide transfers: a short airport run and wine country close by
Adelaide is quick to schedule: about 10 to 15 minutes from the airport to Victoria Square, and no toll roads anywhere in the state. The planning effort goes into Oval event days and the descent from the Hills.
From the terminal
Adelaide Airport has a single terminal for domestic and international flights, about 7 km from Victoria Square. Coaches, too large for the P1 car park, load in the bus and shuttle bays at the south end of the public set-down and collection kerb, under the conditions posted at the entry. No coach holding area is published, and commercial drivers may not collect from the public zone or the yellow line. With a run this short, the driver's arrival is set by the group's bag time, not the landing.
A small executive party works differently: chauffeurs meet passengers at the foot of the main escalators in baggage reclaim and load from dedicated bays on Level 4 of the P1 car park, beside the lifts.

Oval days and city venues
Buses are not allowed in the Adelaide Oval car parks. On big event days, Pennington Terrace and King William Road carry the taxi ranks and set-down zones, which is where the group's return meeting point belongs. The ground sits roughly 400 m from the city centre, so hotel groups on North Terrace can walk one way.
The Adelaide Convention Centre is on North Terrace beside the railway station; the Showground is in Wayville. There are no published council coach bays to rely on, so each set-down is agreed with the venue or hotel.

Hills, vineyards and the island
Hahndorf is 30 minutes and McLaren Vale 45; allow an hour for Tanunda in the Barossa and 1.75 hours for the Clare Valley. Coming down the South Eastern Freeway into the city, buses must engage low gear at Crafers and hold it to the bottom, keep to 60 km/h or less, and hold the left lane, no passing, down to the Measday Bridge. That descent is slow by rule; allow for it in the return time.
Kangaroo Island means the Cape Jervis ferry, about 2 hours south, then a 45-minute crossing to Penneshaw. Coach space per sailing is tight, with four at most on the larger coach-carrying vessel, so secure it before anything else.
Questions
Are there toll roads between the airport and the city?
No. South Australia has none.
Can the coach wait at the Oval during a match?
Not in the Oval's car parks. The driver sets down, leaves and returns to the Pennington Terrace or King William Road zones at an agreed time.
Is the Barossa a half-day outing?
At about an hour each way, a half-day with two cellar doors is workable. Book the tastings for the whole group ahead and send the times.
