Canberra group transport for delegations, school tours and conferences
Canberra is a city of institutions, and each sets its own coach arrangements. The airport is close and publishes no coach regime; the national attractions publish theirs in detail. Plan the day stop by stop.
Landing at CBR
Civic (City Walk) is about 8.5 km from the airport terminal; allow 12 to 15 minutes on clear roads. The single terminal publishes no coach pick-up point or staging area, so the operator settles the meeting point in advance and the driver keeps the wait short. Departing groups are set down on the upper roadway beside the Departures Hall and check-in.
Some delegations fly into Sydney instead. Kingsford Smith is about 290 km away, around three hours by road. For that transfer, send the landing time and the first Canberra appointment, and the quote will allow for Sydney traffic on the way out.

Parliamentary Triangle stops
The National Library has drop-off and pick-up zones for school and group buses directly in front, but no street parking for buses nearby; buses wait in the parking zones on the far side of Questacon. At the Australian War Memorial, a few bus spaces line Treloar Crescent on its eastern side, and the Schools' entrance takes set-down and collection, nothing more. Before the visit, the Memorial's school bookings staff send a map and arrival instructions; pass them to the operator.
A school group seeking the PACER rebate from the federal government covers at least three of the four mandatory stops: Parliament House, the War Memorial, the Museum of Australian Democracy or the National Electoral Education Centre. Sequence them to cut repositioning and put each booked session time on the run sheet.

Beyond the city
Murrumbateman's wineries and Bungendore are about 35 minutes out, Tidbinbilla about 45 and Batemans Bay about two hours. Jindabyne and Thredbo are 2.25 to 2.75 hours. From the June long weekend until the October one, snow chains must be carried by every two-wheel-drive vehicle on the park's alpine roads, among them Kosciuszko Road to Perisher and the Alpine Way between Thredbo and Tom Groggin. Floriade is held each spring in Commonwealth Park; check its dates when planning a spring program.
Questions
Is there a coach waiting area at Canberra Airport?
None is published. The operator agrees a meeting point, and the driver comes in as the group reaches the Arrivals Hall.
Do Canberra transfers include tolls?
No. The ACT has no toll roads.
Where does the bus park at the War Memorial?
In the small number of bus spaces along Treloar Crescent, east side. The Schools' entrance is a set-down point, not a place to wait.
