Albert Park 2027: Moving Groups Around the Grand Prix
The 2027 Formula 1 Australian Grand Prix is on the Albert Park street circuit over four days, Thursday 1 April to race day on Sunday 4 April. It brings Australia's first Formula 1 Sprint, which puts a competitive session on Friday and Saturday as well.
A busier four days than usual
Friday 2 April carries Sprint Qualifying and Saturday 3 April the Sprint itself, so hospitality groups have reasons to be at the circuit on three days, not one. The weekend also lands during Victorian school holidays. The 2026 event drew a record crowd, so lock in vehicles for every day early.

No parking, so plan drop and collect
Albert Park Circuit has no public parking at all while the event runs. A vehicle carrying a group sets down and leaves, then returns for the collection. The published transport information lists taxi ranks and rideshare bays but no coach zone, so the operator plans the stop for the vehicle size and the gate your guests are using.
Gates 1, 2, 3, 8 and 10 each have both a taxi rank and rideshare bays; Gate 5 has a taxi rank only. Gate 1 and Gate 5 are the organiser's suggested entries for anyone with accessibility needs, so flag anyone who needs them when booking.

Flights, hotels and the 2026 transit set-up
By the organiser's figures the circuit is about 29 km from Melbourne Airport and about 59 km from Avalon. Teams, media and hosting guests landing midweek need a staged run: airport to hotel, then daily shuttles to the gate.
In 2026 ticket holders travelled free on trams and trains between the city and the circuit, with shuttle trams laid on from Flagstaff, Southern Cross and Flinders Street. On foot, Gate 5 is roughly eight minutes from Anzac Station on the Metro Tunnel.
Questions
Can our coach park at the circuit for the day?
No. Public parking is not allowed during the event. The vehicle drops off, leaves and returns at the agreed time.
Which days should we book?
That depends on your hosting plan. With Sprint sessions on Friday and Saturday, a group hosting on each competitive day needs vehicles on all three.
What should we send for a quote?
Hotels, gates, guest numbers per day, arrival flights and the times you want to be at the circuit.
